The Naval Criminal Investigation Service's Office of Special Projects takes on the undercover work and the hard to crack cases in LA. Key agents are G. Callen and Sam Hanna, streets kids risen trough the ranks. Special Agent Kensi Blye, a forensic sleuth and unbeatable undercover operator rounds out the team of Agents, while LAPD Detective Marty Deeks partners with her and is quickly picking up her undercover wits. Eric Beal's computer wizardry is invaluable, he works with Nell Jones, an intelligence analyst to whom Hetty quickly took a liking to, and far from HQ, the veteran chief has a freer hand than even the Director himself.
